Nekoosa’s strong legacy of manufacturing and converting specialty products began over 60 years ago as a division of 3M. Nekoosa has since evolved into a key supplier of visual communication products.
- Nekoosa Coated Products was formed in 2005 when an entrepreneurial investment group, Dunsirn Partners, acquired the Imation business producing carbonless papers and renamed it Nekoosa Coated Products.
- Wingate Partners acquired Nekoosa Coated Products in 2012, fueling future acquisitions.
- Nekoosa Coated Products, in April 2013 acquired IGI Corporation comprised of RTape Corp., a manufacturer of application tapes and CET Films, a customer film extruder.
- In September of 2013, Nekoosa acquired the MagneCote® business. MagneCote®, provides a premagnetized, light weight and cost-effective option for magnetic paper printing.
- Nekoosa acquired the business and assets of ClingZ® Inc. in 2017. ClingZ® is an electrically charged film without adhesive that can adhere to a variety of surfaces.
- Sentinel Capital Partners, a New York-based investment firm, partnered with Nekoosa on November 1, 2017.
- In 2018, Nekoosa acquired Catalina Graphic Films, offering a full range of pressure sensitive films for the offset, screen and wide format printing industries.
- In January 2021, Nekoosa acquired the NCR PAPER* brand.

Cut Films - Produce high-end decals, banners, cut lettering, signs and décor with Nekoosa’s colorful cut films. Our GMI and VinylEfx® vinyl films are easy to cut and weed and suitable for application to flat or slightly curved surfaces.
Application Tapes & Premasks - We set the standard for product performance and quality. Innovations like RLA® Release Liner Adhesion are often imitated, but never duplicated. We offer a wide range of products between our RTape and Nekoosa PerfecTear portfolios to ensure our customers find the application tape or premask that fits the requirements of their specific job.
